On conventional left hand drive (LHD) models the EVAP canister is located in the engine compartment on the passenger side frame rail (Fig. 10). On RHD models the canister is located in the left side of the engine compartment near the heater blower motor (Fig. 11).

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the vacuum lines at the EVAP canister. Note location of lines before removal.
2. Remove canister retaining strap bolt.
3. Remove canister from vehicle.
4. Reverse the removal procedure for installation.
5. Tighten strap bolt to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).
