Water Pump: Service and Repair

1. Drain cooling system, then disconnect hoses from pump.
2. Remove drive belts.
3. Remove power steering pump bracket from water pump boss.
4. Remove fan assembly and, if equipped, the radiator fan shroud.
5. Remove water pump retaining bolts, then the water pump and gasket.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten retaining bolts to specifications.
