Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

LIFTGATE LATCH REMOVAL
1. Raise the liftgate and remove the trim panel.

Latch Screw Removal/Installation:

2. Remove the latch screws.

Removing/Installing Latch And Lock Cylinder:

3. Disconnect the rod from the latch.
4. Remove the latch from the liftgate.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the latch in the liftgate.
2. Connect the latch rod.
3. Install and tighten the latch screws to 12 Nm (110 in-lbs) torque.
4. Install liftgate trim panel.
