Wiper Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Turn ignition switch to Off position and position wiper switch as indicated. Backprobe wiper switch side of wiring harness black connector. If switch passes test, go to next step; if switch does not pass test, replace switch.
2. Turn ignition switch to Accessory or On and position switch as indicated. Backprobe wiper switch side of wiring harness black connector.
3. Measure voltage at connector terminal E with wiper switch in Low, Mist and with washer switch depressed. If meter does not indicate battery voltage, replace switch.
4. Measure voltage at connector terminal C with wiper switch in High. If meter does not indicate battery voltage, replace switch.
5. With wiper switch in Low or High, measure voltage at connector terminal F, then move wiper switch to Off. Meter should read battery voltage until wipers park and then 0 volts. If readings are not as described, check wiring to wiper motor.
