AW-4 4-Speed

1. Shift transmission into Park, then raise and support vehicle.

2. Release cable adjuster clamp to unlock cable, Fig. 4, then unsnap cable from cable bracket.
3. Move transmission shift lever all the way rearward to Park detent position, then ensure positive engagement of park lock by attempting to rotate propeller shaft. Shaft will not rotate when park lock is engaged.
4. Snap cable into cable bracket, then lock shaft cable by pressing cable adjuster clamp down until it snaps into place.
5. Ensure engine starts only in Park or Neutral.
6. Lower vehicle.
