DISCUSSION:
When servicing 2.5L or 4.0L engines take note of the color coding on the valve seals when disassembling. Previous valve seals were identified as either intake or exhaust. This identification is no longer present on the seals. Intake valve seals are black and exhaust valve seals are brown. Installing the wrong type seals can lead to premature failures.
