EXTENSION HOUSING SEAL (2 WHEEL DRIVE)

REMOVAL

1. Mark the propeller shaft and rear axle yokes for assembly alignment reference and remove the propeller shaft.

Extension Housing Seal Removal:

2. Remove the old seal with a screwdriver and hammer.

INSTALLATION

Extension Housing Seal Installation:

1. Install the new seal with tool J-9348.

2. Align and install the propeller shaft. Tighten the U-joint clamp strap bolts to 19 Nm (170 in. lbs.) torque.
