Assemble piston to connecting rod with notch on top of piston facing toward front of engine and connecting rod bearing tang opposite camshaft, as shown in Fig. 19. Check side clearance between connecting rod and crankshaft journal. Side clearance should be 0.006 - 0.017 inch.
