INSTALLATION
1. Install the anti-rattle clip (3) on the trailing end of the anchor plate. The split end of the clip must face away from the rotor.
2. Position the inboard and outboard brake pads (4) in place while holding the clip (3).
CAUTION: Protect the caliper dust boot during caliper installation. A damaged boot can cause eventual piston seizure.
Tilt And Remove Or Install Caliper:
Remove Or Install Slide Pins:
3. Install the caliper and the caliper mounting pins. Torque the pins to 34-47 Nm (25-35 ft. lbs.).
Caliper Hose Routing:
4. Install a replacement washer on the brake hose. Install the brake hose, and torque to 31 Nm (276 in. lbs.). Bleed the system.
CAUTION: When connecting to the caliper, position the hose, as shown, so that it will not interfere with other front end and steering components.
5. Fill the master cylinder reservoirs to the full level.
6. Press firmly on the brake pedal to seat the brake pads.
7. Install the wheels, torque to 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.),
8. Lower the vehicle and check the master cylinder fluid level, correct if necessary.
9. Check for proper brake system operation.
