Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

MODEL 300 TRANSFER CASE

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Place suitable jack under transmission and remove rear crossmember.
3. Scribe alignment marks on pertinent propeller shaft and transfer case yoke for proper assembly, then disconnect shaft from yoke.
4. Using suitable tools, remove transfer case yoke nut and washer, then the yoke.
5. Using suitable tools, remove oil seal and install new oil seal.
6. Install yoke, washer and nut, torquing nut to 120 ft. lbs.
