Brake Shoe Removal

1982-86 CJ & SCRAMBLER; 1984-87 CHEROKEE & WAGONEER; 1986-87 COMMANCHE; 1987 WRANGLER

1. Unfasten caliper as previously described, leaving brake hose attached to caliper. Suspend caliper from suspension spring. Do not let caliper hang by hydraulic line.
2. Remove outboard brake shoe from anchor plate while holding anti-rattle clip.
3. Remove inboard brake shoe and anti-rattle clip.
4. Clean caliper interior using clean shop cloths. Do not use compressed air, as damage to dust boot may result.
