Tie Bar

Removal

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Remove the LH rear wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to Wheel and Tire Service and Repair

NOTE:
Use an additional wrench to prevent the ball joint rotating.
Remove the tie rod.
- Remove and discard the 2 tie-rod end retaining nuts.

Installation

NOTE:
Use an additional wrench to prevent the ball joint rotating.
Install the tie rod.
- Tighten the new inner nut to 90 Nm (59 lb.ft).
- Tighten the new outer nut to 55 Nm (41 lb.ft).
2 Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to Wheel and Tire Service and Repair
3 Using only four-wheel alignment equipment approved by Jaguar, check and adjust the wheel alignment.
