Parking Brake Pads - Vehicles With: High Performance Brakes (70.40.04)Special Service Tools
Removal
1. Carry out the parking brake cable tension release.
2. Remove both rear wheels and tires.
3. Detach the parking brake cable.
^ Reposition the parking brake caliper lever.
^ Detach the parking brake cable.
4. Remove the parking brake pads.
^ Remove the parking brake pad retaining pins.
^ Remove the parking brake pad anti-rattle spring plate.
^ Remove the parking brake pads.
5. Remove the parking brake caliper.
^ Remove and discard the parking brake caliper retaining bolts.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Make sure the brake disc faces are clean before installation.
CAUTION: Brake pads must always be replaced in axle sets.
CAUTION: Install new parking brake caliper retaining bolts.
NOTE: Using a suitable tool, fully retract the parking brake caliper pistons.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten to 70 Nm.
