Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

Parking Brake Cable (70.35.29)
Removal
1. Carry out the parking brake cable release.
2. Remove both rear wheels and tires.





3. Detach the parking brake cable.
^ Reposition the parking brake caliper lever.
^ Detach the parking brake cable.





4. Detach the parking brake cable.
^ Reposition the retaining tang.
^ Detach the parking brake cable.





5. Remove the parking brake cable.
^ Detach the parking brake cable retaining tangs.
^ Remove the parking brake cable.

Installation

1. NOTE: Install a new parking brake cable retaining bracket.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
