Inspection and Verification
1. Verify the customer concern.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical damage.

Visual inspection
- Damaged/frayed webbing
- Damaged buckles
- Damaged tongues

3. If the fault is not visually evident determine the symptom(s) and proceed to the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) flash code index.
