Removal

All vehicles





1. Remove the brake master cylinder. For additional information, refer to Hydraulic System.





2. Detach the brake booster.
- Remove the brake booster retaining nuts.

Left-hand drive vehicles





3. Remove the brake booster push rod retaining clip.
1. Release the brake booster push rod retaining clip.
2. Remove the brake booster push rod retaining clip.





4. Detach the brake booster push rod.
1. Reposition the brake pedal.
2. Detach the brake booster push rod.





5. Detach the brake booster push rod grommet.

Right-hand drive vehicles

NOTE: Apply the brake pedal hold down tool and adjust to hold the brake pedal fully down.

Remove the brake booster push rod pin retaining clip.





7. Remove the brake booster push rod pin.

All vehicles





8. Remove the brake booster.

Installation

All vehicles





1. NOTE: Do not install the brake booster retaining nuts.

Loosely install the brake booster.

Right-hand drive vehicles





2. Install the brake booster push rod pin.

3. NOTE: Remove the brake pedal hold down tool.





Install the brake booster push rod pin retaining clip.

Left-hand drive vehicles





4. Attach the brake booster push rod grommet.





5. Install the brake booster push rod.
- Reposition the brake pedal.





6. Install the brake booster push rod retaining clip.

All vehicles





7. Install the brake booster retaining nuts.
- Tighten to 20 Nm.
8. Install the brake master cylinder. For additional information, refer to Hydraulic System.
