Rear Drive Halfshaft - Change In Specification From Hollow To Solid Shafts
Issue:
A change in specification to the rear drive halfshafts have been made to improve durability. The 'tubular' construction rear axle shaft has now been replaced by a 'solid bar' construction rear drive halfshaft.
Action:
If a normally aspirated (NA) 2003 MY 3.0L or 4.2L S-TYPE vehicle within the above VIN range, requires replacement of the existing 'tubular' rear drive halfshaft, install a vehicle set of 'solid bar' rear drive halfshafts.
