Test A: B1342


A: B1342-CAN circuit failure

A1: MEASURE CONNECTOR RESISTANCE (IGNITION OFF)
1. Measure the resistance on connector LF037 between pin 5 and pin 015.
^ Is the resistance 120 ohms?

-> Yes
Vehicle is OK.

-> No
Go to [A2]

A2: CHECK ELECTRICAL CONTINUITY (1) (IGNITION OFF)
1. Check for continuity between LS027/005 and connector EM007/082, as well as LS027/015 and EM007/083.
^ Is there electrical continuity?

-> Yes
Go to [A3]

-> No
Check harness from ABS to TOM for damage. Repair as necessary.

A3: CHECK ELECTRICAL CONTINUITY (2) (IGNITION OFF)
1. Check for continuity between J1692 connector CC006/011 and LS027/005 as well as CC006/010 and LS027/015.
^ Is there electrical continuity?

-> Yes
Go to [A4]

-> No
Check for continuity between vehicle ECU's.

A4: CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT (1) (IGNITION OFF)
1. Check for short circuit between CAN wires.
^ Is a short circuit present?

-> Yes
Check harness. Repair as necessary.

-> No
Go to [A5]

A5: CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT (2) (IGNITION ON)
1. Check if either line is shorted to ground or +12V.
^ Are either lines shorted to ground or +12V?

-> Yes
Check harness. Repair as necessary.

-> No
Replace ABS/TCS module.
