Heater Hose: Service and Repair

Heater Hose Assembly

Removal
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the air intake tube.
3. Remove wiper arms.





4. Remove the cowl grille.





5. Remove the engine compartment brace.





6. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.





7. Disconnect the three quick-disconnect couplings from the coolant control valves hoses.





8. Disconnect the coolant recovery line.





9. Detach the heater hose assembly bracket.
10. Raise and support the vehicle. Service and Repair





11. Remove the bolt and disengage the push connector.
12. Lower the vehicle and remove the heater hose assembly





13. Remove the crimps and remove the bracket.


Installation





1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: If the hose assembly has been separated, a new bracket must be installed.
