Enhanced Inspection/Maintenance Test Concern - V12 Engine - DTC P1000 or P1111 Always Present

ISSUE:

Two DTCs reside within the 1996 MY V12 engine management system, one of which will be present at all times:

P1000 - OBDII Diagnostic tests not complete since last memory clear.
P1111 - OBDII Diagnostic tests completed since last memory clear.

These DTCs are quick indicators for the technician to indicate the current state of the system readiness tests and are not faults in themselves.

ACTION:

Either DTC P1000 or P1111 will always appear when making a request to display DTCs. These DTCs do not represent faults and the vehicle must not be rejected during a Mode 3 Enhanced Inspection/Maintenance test when this occurs. Should any other DTCs be present in addition to P1000 or P1111, the vehicle should be diagnosed accordingly.
