ISSUE:

The AJ-9500 radio on 1995 MY Sedan Range vehicles is equipped with automatic volume control (AVC). The radio automatically increases the volume as the vehicle speed increases. This feature is selectable.

ACTION:

Check the setting of the AVC feature as follows:

1. Depress and hold the volume knob for 2 seconds. The radio display will indicate either "AVC ON" or "AVC OFF".

2. Depress the volume button briefly to toggle the setting between "AVC ON" and "AVC OFF" as desired.

3. The radio then returns to the normal display (station frequency).
