Removal/Installation

1. Remove air cleaner cover and element.
2. Partially drain cooling system.
3. Remove top coolant hose.
4. Using a syringe, remove all oil from steering pump.
5. Disconnect return and feed hoses from rear of pump.
6. Loosen nut securing adjuster rod to timing cover.
7. Remove bolt securing adjuster rod trunnion to pump, swing adjuster rod clear of pump.
8. Remove nut securing pump lower pivot bolt, then swing pump to engine and remove drive belt.
9. Remove lower pivot mounting bolt.
10. Remove pump from vehicle.
11. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten to specifications.
b. Refill and bleed system.
