Air Pump Replacement And Belt Adjustment:

NOTE: Number references in text specify numbered components in image.

1. Remove right air cleaner cover.
2. Loosen adjuster rod bolt (5) and adjuster rod lock nut (6).
3. By turning adjuster rod nut (1), adjust tension to give 0.22 in (5.6 mm) deflection with a load of 6.4 lb (2.9 kg) applied at point "A."
4. Following adjustment, retighten nuts and bolts and replace air cleaner cover.

CAUTION: Ensure that bolt head (5) does not interfere with pump pulley.
