Main Valve

Main Valve:

MAIN VALVE
The main valve is a solenoid operated valve which during ABS control supplies the front wheel brakes with pressure and causes a push back of the pedal by applying a pressure to the positioning sleeve.

In a braking position without ABS control the solenoid valve (1) is de-energized and connects the reservoir (2) with the master cylinder (3). The connection between the booster, the master cylinder and the return flow is closed.

At the beginning of ABS control the main solenoid valve is energized and connects the dynamic circuit of the booster with the static circuit of the master cylinder. The connection between the master cylinder and the reservoir is closed.
