Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

Fig. 15 Charcoal Canister Replacement:

1. Raise the front of the vehicle and place on safety stands.
2. Turn the steering wheel fully clockwise to gain access to the charcoal canister cover retaining screws that are located under the left wheel well.
3. Remove the canister cover and then the fasteners holding the canister.
4. Disconnect the hoses from the canister, noting their original position. Remove the canister from the vehicle, Fig. 15.
5. Reverse the procedures to install the canister.
