Test Note 10:





After VIN 528301, XJ6 3.6 vehicles incorporate a modified valve block. For identification, the valve block has been dated coded, (Fig. 4). An identification number above 2002 (15 AW) indicates a modified valve block.


Test Note 11:

To remove the ride levelling strut adaptor, use the following procedure:

^ Raise vehicle on lift (rear wheels must be suspended).

^ Remove the pipe and gauge assembly.

^ Remove ride levelling strut adaptor.

^ Re-install the bleed nipple.

^ Perform strut bleeding procedure (refer to Technical Service Bulletin section 64, number 2).


Test Note 12:

It is sometimes possible to hear the relief valve in the valve block operating when the sensor link arm is raised or lowered. This is a normal condition.
