Intermediate Pipe-LH
INTERMEDIATE PIPE - LHRENEW
Drive the car on to a ramp. Raise the ramp.
Remove the LH intermediate pipe to silencer clamp securing nut/bolt (1 Fig 1).
Remove the LH intermediate pipe to front pipe clamp securing nut/bolt (1 Fig 2).
Displace and remove the LH intermediate pipe/silencer assembly (2 Fig 1). Remove the sealing olive.
Clean the sealing ring faces, clamps and olives. Smear the LH front pipe olive with sealant.
Fit the olive to the replacement intermediate pipe. Fit and align the intermediate pipe to the front pipe.
Position the clamp over the joints, and partially tighten the clamp nut/bolt.
Smear the LH intermediate pipe olive with sealant. Fit the olive to the pipe.
Smear the LH silencer union with sealant. Fit the silencer to the intermediate pipe. Fit the union clamp over the joints, and partially tighten the clamp nut/bolt. Align the exhaust system, and final tighten all clamp nuts/bolts. Lower the ramp.
Run the engine and check for leaks. Road test the vehicle and check that the exhaust does not foul the underbody, chassis, etc. Re-align as necessary.
