Oxygen Sensor

On models equipped with an oxygen sensor maintenance reminder lamp, the instrument panel light will come ON as a reminder for service at 30,000 miles. Service is performed by replacing the oxygen sensor. After the appropriate service has been completed, insert reset key (supplied with the new sensor) into mileage reset switch. Turn key until ``O'' is obtained. The mileage switch mechanism is fitted to the speedometer cable, on the right side of the engine block.

A mechanical speedometer can be identified by the number on the face of the speedometer head. It will begin with "SN". An "ES" is electric.
