Front End Modification
1. Disconnect the vehicle battery.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle and support on stands. Remove the left-hand side front road wheel.
3. Remove the wheel arch liner to gain access to the charcoal canister.
4. Displace the purge hose from the charcoal canister and remove the vapor hose from the charcoal canister and fuel tank vapor pipe.
5. Remove the nut and bolt from the canister securing clamp, open the clamp and remove the canister.

6. Remove the large bore breather hose from the canister and discard the hose.
7. Slide clamp CAC 8773 onto elbow CAC 4040/2 (B, Fig 1). Install elbow to the end of the Rochester valve (A, Fig 1) marked "CAN" and reposition clamp to secure.
8. Install the restrictor CBC 9506 into the large diameter end of vapor hose CAC 1853/7 (E, Fig 1). Note, shoulder end of restrictor to face outwards.
9. Install clamp CAC 8773 onto vapor hose and push restrictor end of hose onto the end of Rochester valve marked "TANK". Reposition clamp to secure.
10. Slide clamp CAC 8773 onto the elbow and install the elbow and valve to the charcoal canister stub pipe marked "T", reposition clamp to secure.
11. Install the canister assembly to the vehicle, orientate the canister and position the components as detailed in Fig 1.
12. Slide clamp CAC 8772 onto vapor hose CAC 1853/7 (E, Fig 1) and install hose to the existing steel vapor pipe. Reposition clamp to secure.
13. Slide clamp CAC 8774 to the end of the existing purge hose (C, Fig 1) and install hose to the canister assembly.
14. Connect vacuum signal hose EAC 8022/39 (D, Fig 1) to the Rochester valve and route hose through lower aperture and into the engine compartment.
15. Remove the upper outboard securing screw from the blanking plate at the front of "B" bank manifold.

16. Fit vacuum stub pipe EAC 2899 in place of the screw along with spacer EBC 2479 and serrated washer C 30075/2 (Fig 2).
17. Route vacuum hose frcm the Rochester valve and install to stub pipe (A, Fig 2).
18. Secure routed vacuum hose with tie wraps.
19. Inspect the installation beneath the wheel arch and refit the wheel arch liner.
20. Install the road wheel, lower the front of the vehicle and fully tighten wheel.
