Rear End Modification
1. Open the trunk.
2. Remove the spare wheel and compartment floor carpet.
3. Release the turn fasteners and remove the battery cover.
4. Disconnect the battery.
5. Displace and remove right-hand front side liner.
6. Release the retaining clip and remove right-hand rear liner.
7. Displace the front carpet trim from the battery/fuel tank area.
8. Displace the relays from mounting on the right-hand compartment light mounting panel (hockey stick).
9. Release the spring clips and displace the connected ECU from the hockey stick panel mounting.
10. Remove the hockey stick upper, front and rear securing screws.
11. Release vehicle harness from hockey stick clips, disconnect compartment light and relay connections and remove hockey stick.
12. Locate the vapor separator situated above the right-hand wheel arch and adjacent to the fuel tank.
13. Remove the vapor separator securing bolts and displace separator and packing wedge from position for access to the hose securing clips.
14. Release the securing clip and remove the hose fitted between the separator and the forward steel vavor pipe. This hose will be fitted with an internal restrictor or an in line 2 psi valve.
15. Release the hose from the steel vapor pipe and discard. Ensure steel vapor pipe is not displaced from plastic "P" clip on trunk bulkhead.

16. Slide clamp CAC 8772 to one end of hose CAC 5866/9 (A, Fig 3) and install hose to the steel vapor pipe, reposition clamp to secure.
17. Install securing clip EAC 3215/1 to the opposite end of the hose, install hose to vapor separator stub pipe and tighten clip to secure.
18. Reposition vapor separator and packing wedge, install and tighten securing bolts.
19. Visually inspect the fuel system for any sign of leakage, paying particular attention to the fuel tank area and underlying insulation pad, which if contaminated may indicate sign of fuel tank leakage. Should further rectification be necessary this should be completed in line with normal practice.
20. Reposition vehicle harness to clips, reconnect compartment light and relay connections and refit hockey stick to vehicle. Reposition relays to mounting bracket.
21. Reposition ECU to hockey stick mounting.
22. Repositicn forward carpet trim to fuel tank area.
23. Reposition and secure right-hand front side liner.
24. Install rear right-hand liner, compartment floor carpet and spare wheel.
25. Reconnect battery and install battery cover.
Note: Adhere a completed (Zone and Dealer numbers) R351 Campaign Completion identification Label to the rearmost crossbrace on the underside of the hood.
