Valve Clearance: Adjustments

Adjust valves with engine cold.

1. Remove cam cover.
2. Position No. 1 piston at top dead center (TDC), compression stroke. In this position, adjust the following valves:
a. No. 1 intake and exhaust.
b. No. 2 intake.
c. No. 3 exhaust.
3. Rotate crankshaft 360°. Adjust the following valves:
a. No. 2 exhaust.
b. No. 3 intake.
c. No. 4 intake and exhaust.
4. Install cam cover. Tighten to specifications.

Valve Clearance Specifications:
Intake 0.004-0.008 inches
Exhaust 0.008-0.012 inches
