SERVICE PROCEDURE
Make the following pen-and-ink correction on the appropriate pages of the referenced Workshop Manuals.

ACCELERATOR CABLE
REMOVAL
1. Adjust nuts
^ Loosen the adjust nuts of the engine control cable bracket onto common chamber.
2. Cable fixing bolts
^ Remove cable fixing bolts from common chamber and dash board.
3. Engine control cable (throttle body side)
^ Disconnect the cable from the throttle lever and bracket.
4. Engine control cable (accelerator pedal side)
^ Disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal.
5. Cable grommet
^ Remove the cable grommet from the dash panel.
6. Cable assembly
INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Inspect the following items. Replace the cable when an abnormality is observed. Ensure that:
^ The cable wire moves smoothly.
^ The cable wire is not bent or kinked.
^ There is no damage or abrasion on the cable.

INSTALLATION
To install, follow the removal steps in the reverse order, noting the following point; Adjustment of accelerator cable
1) Loosen the lock nuts.
2) Pull the outer cable while fully closing the throttle lever. Then, adjust with the "B" nut so that the clearance between the "B" nut and bracket is as shown in Fig. 6C-14.
3) Push the "B" nut against the bracket and lock the cable by tightening the "A" nut.
