Shift Cable: Adjustments

1. Loosen nuts on control link, then place transaxle manual lever into Neutral detent.
2. Place shift control lever in Neutral position.
3. Rotate link assembly clockwise to remove slack in shift cable.
4. While holding link, tighten rear adjusting nut until it contacts the link.
5. Tighten front adjusting nut until it contacts the link, then tighten both adjusting nuts.
6. Ensure when selector lever is shifted from ``Park'' through D1, a clicking can be felt at each shift position. Ensure the gear selected corresponds to that indicated by the gear selection plate.
7. Ensure lever can be shifted between ``Drive and Neutral'' without depressing the shifter button.
8. If the shift lever can be shifted from ``Drive to Reverse'' without depressing the shifter button or if the button is loose, adjust by loosening the locknut and twisting the selector lever knob.
