Assembly


Flange

1. If idle mixture adjusting screw was removed, install screw temporarily.
2. Install TPS unit onto bracket assembly.
3. Install mixture bypass solenoid valve and gasket.
4. Ensure components move freely.

Carburetor Body

1. Install each jet in their proper location.
2. Install accelerator pump filter as follows:
a. Install check balls, then filter assembly.
b. Install snap ring taking care not to damage pump bore assembly.
3. Install slow cut solenoid valve and gasket.
4. Install diaphragm chamber and gasket.


Body & Flange

1. Place a new gasket on top of flange, then position body on top.
2. Install flange screws and wire bracket, then tighten attaching bolt.
3. Connect diaphragm chamber rod and secondary valve shaft, then E-clip.
4. Install throttle return and 2nd lock springs.
5. Install accelerating pump return spring into pump bore, then piston from the top.

Air Horn

1. Install air vent solenoid valve and gasket.
2. Install choke breaker diaphragm unit and hose.
3. Connect rod to choke breaker diaphragm unit and secure with E-clip.
4. Install feedback solenoid valve as follows:
a. Pass wires through air horn and install vertically while holding the valve body. It must not be bent when installing.
b. Tighten attaching bolt.
5. Install needle valve seat, then needle valve onto seat assembly.
6. Install new gasket on air horn assembly.
7. Install float and secure with float pin.

Air Horn To Body

1. Carefully assemble air horn and body assembly. Do not bump float against body when installing air horn to body. Ensure wires are not pinched between air horn and body.
2. After assembly, ensure to accurately insert the grooves of the accelerating pump piston rod and boot.
3. Install screws to secure air horn onto body assembly.
4. Connect link to the choke cam lever, then install E-clip.
5. Install pump arm assembly.
6. Arrange each wire as follows:
a. Arrange wires of slow cut solenoid valve on inner side and arrange the wire of the auto choke heater onto outer side so that wires do not interfere with throttle return spring operation.
b. Install wire pins to their position in the connector.
7. Ensure that each part of carburetor operates freely.
