High Altitude to Low Altitude Modification

Fig.27 - High Altitude Emission Control Device:

1. Disconnect harness connector on altitude switch and solenoid valve assembly from body harness connector.

2. Disconnect a large rubber hose from air cleaner pipe with 3-way connector. Disconnect large rubber hose connected to carburetor 3-way connector.

3. Remove air cleaner.

4. Remove 3 small rubber hoses attached to solenoid valve from air passage pipes on carburetor. Attach rubber caps to these air passage pipes.

5. Remove vacuum switch assembly and altitude switch and solenoid valve assembly, then reinstall vacuum switch assembly.

6. Reinstall air cleaner and connect large rubber hose from carburetor to air cleaner and secure with clip.

7. Adjust engine speed to specification, check timing, and remove label
