Service Procedure

NOTE
Detailed instructions for this service procedure are contained in Section 9J of either of the following service publications:

1995 Trooper(UX) Workshop Manual First Revision (Publication No. UX00WSM-L0001-01)

or

1995 Trooper (UX) Workshop Manual (Publication No. UX00WSM-L00S1-00).

Regardless of which service publication is used, pay strict attention to (all warnings and safety precautions called out within the text.

1. Remove the original passenger SRS module and install the new passenger SRS module (Part No. 8-97153-182-0). Refer to Page 9J-132 of either of the above listed service publications for detailed removal and installation instructions.

2. Deploy and scrap the original passenger SRS module. Refer to Deployment Outside Vehicle (Passenger Air Bag), Page 9J-18 of either of the above listed service publications for detailed deployment and scrapping instructions.





3. Affix a campaign label (Part No. 2-90028-700-0) adjacent to the manufacturer's identification label located inside the driver's door. Using a ball-point pen, fill in the label with Campaign Number 95S-002, Isuzu dealer code, and repair date (Figure 1).

The parts listed will not be shipped automatically to each dealer. Dealers will need to order parts as necessary to complete the repair. These parts can be ordered from the American Isuzu Parts Distribution Network (AIPDN).
