Ignition System

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
This Engine uses a Solid State Ignition System. The principal components of the Ignition System are the Spark Plugs, Ignition Coil, and Distributor.

The Distributor consists of the Dust Bushing the Rotor and the Pinion Gear. The Crank Angle Sensor is built-in to the Distributor Housing. The Crank Angle Sensor uses a Photoelectric Pick-Up and a Rotor Plate to measure Engine speed and Piston position.
