Find "CHECK TRANS" indicator and verify if it is:

A. Flashing. See "Diagnostic System Check".
On-Board Diagnostic System Check

B. Staying ON. Do the "Check Trans Check".

C. Is never "ON" when the Ignition key is turned on. Do the "Check Trans Check".

D. Is "ON" during 2 to 3 seconds at ignition but "OFF" after. The problem is:

1. CASE / Noise: Drive the car to reproduce the problem. If you think that the problem is due to the transmission; See "Diagnostic System Check".

2. CASE / Leak: If the leak is due to the transmission, inspect the transmission for leakage. When the leak problem is solved, erase any Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). Drive the car to verify that everything is OK.

3. CASE / Other: A DTC may be stored. A DTC can be stored without setting the "CHECK TRANS" indicator.
