Service Procedure

NOTE:
For this campaign Infiniti dealerships are required to install Infiniti OEM rear combination lamps to maintain the customer's vehicle as originally equipped from factory specifications.





1. Remove the 6 clips shown in Figure 1.

2. Remove items 1 through 7-shown in Figure 1 - from the trunk.

3. Disconnect the rear combination lamp electrical connector.





4. Remove the 3 nuts shown in Figure 2.

^ These nuts are on the back side of the rear combination lamp. One of the nuts in under a harness mounting clip.





5. Remove the combination lamp and foam seal from the vehicle.





6. Unpack the new combination lamp and make sure the new foam seal is in place as shown.

7. Install the new combination lamp in reverse order.

Torque for rear combination lamp mounting nuts: 3.2 N.m (0.33 kg-m 28 in.lb)

8. Replace both rear combination lamps; perform steps 3 through 6 for both sides.

9. Reinstall all parts that were removed from the trunk.

10. Drill a 3/8 inch hole in the old combination lamp lenses to make them unusable.
