SERVICE INFORMATION
The following symptoms may occur after installing an I30 dealer installed genuine Infiniti cellular phone:
^ The hands free operation may not operate properly.
^ The Bose music system does not mute.
^ The right front speaker doesn't operate during cellular phone and hands free operation. The M83 (DIN) connector may not be installed into the back side of the audio head unit. To assure proper function, the M83 (DIN) connector must be installed to the back side of the audio/radio head unit while installing a cellular phone.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
The M83 (DIN) connector is secured with tape to the air bag harness behind the audio/radio unit (see illustration).
Installation Instructions
1. During Infiniti cellular phone installation (Mobile communicator P/N 999Q2-FG000 or Compact communicator P/N 999Q2-FG0005), remove the audio/radio unit.
2. Install the M83 (DIN) connector to the back side of the audio/radio unit. The M83 (DIN) connector is secured with tape to the air bag harness as shown on the illustration.
3. Verify speaker operation f/r hands free operation per the Infiniti Post-Installation Systems Check section in the Compact/Mobile Communicator Cellular Phone Installation Instructions
