Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Intake Manifold Tightening/Loosening Sequence:

INTAKE MANIFOLD
1. Tighten in numerical order, as shown in the figure.
2. Tighten all bolts and nuts to 5 - 10 N.m (3.6 - 7.2 ft. lbs.).
3. Tighten all bolts and nuts to 26 - 31 Nm (20 - 23 ft. lbs.).
4. Repeat step 2 at least five times to have all bolts and nuts tightened at a torque of 26 - 31 Nm (20 - 23 ft. lbs.).

Intake Manifold Collector Tightening/Loosening Sequence:

INTAKE MANIFOLD COLLECTOR
Tighten bolts and nuts to 18 - 22 Nm (13 - 16 ft. lbs.) in numerical order shown in the figure.
