When replacing the brake pads or servicing the brakes on a Q45 be sure to inspect the rubber plugs for the slide pins on the front brake caliper mounts. If this plug is missing moisture may enter the slide pin and start to rust the pin which could lead to uneven brake pad wear.

During installation the plugs could fall out when inserting the slide pin rapidly. The air trapped in the caliper mount may force the plug out the other side.
