Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Testing and Inspection

Air Cut Valve Test:

1. Remove air cut valve from engine.
2. Immerse air cut valve in cold or hot water as shown in image, and check air flow.
Water Temperature: 0°C (32°F) - Air should flow through outlet A.
Water Temperature: Above 50°C (122°F) - Almost NO air flow through outlet A.
3. If NO GOOD, replace air cut valve.

NOTE: Do not wet gasket portion or air chamber.
