Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 9 Proportioning valve inspection:

1. On ABS models, disconnect harness connectors from ABS actuator.
2. Connect brake fluid pressure tool No. KV991V0010, or equivalent, to air bleeder of front and rear brakes on either right or lefthand side, Fig. 9.
3. Bleed air from tool.
4. Depress brake pedal and compare pressures.
a. Front brake pressure is 924 psi.
b. Rear brake pressure is 739-796 psi.

5. On all models, bleed brake system after disconnecting tool as described under Brakes.
