Steering Wheel: Service and Repair

1. Remove air bag module as outlined in Restraint Systems.
2. Place steering wheel in neutral position, then disconnect horn electrical connector and remove nuts.
3. Using steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel. Ensure not to overtighten puller bolt on steering wheel.
4. Attach spiral cable to stopper, then remove steering column cover.
5. Disconnect electrical connector, then remove attaching screws and spiral cable.
6. Reverse procedure to install, ensuring spiral cable is in neutral position and aligned correctly. Neutral position is 2 1/2 turns from far right with markings aligned.
