Throttle Body: Adjustments
PURPOSEThe throttle body linkage free play adjustment synchronizes the opening points of the two throttle bodies. This adjustment is usually not required for periodic maintenance but is carried out after any engine service that necessitated disassembly of the intake manifold, throttle bodies and/or linkage.

SYNCHRONIZATION PROCEDURE
- Loosen the Left Side throttle body lock nut and back out the adjusting screw until there is some clearance between the screw and the joint lever.

- Set a suitable dial indicator on the joint lever of the throttle linkage.
- Zero the dial indicator.
- Turn the adjusting screw on the throttle body linkage until the specified clearance is obtained.
- Tighten adjusting screw lock nut and verify clearance is still within specified range.
Clearance Range: 0.07 - 0.13mm (0.0028 - 0.0051 in.).
