Canister Purge Control Valve: Description and Operation

Carbon Canister:

PURPOSE
To regulate the purging of stored fuel vapor from the Carbon Canister.

OPERATION
As engine speed increases ported manifold vacuum opens the purge control valve. Fuel vapor is sucked from the carbon canister to the intake manifold when the purge control valve opens.
