Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments

Fig. 12 Brake pedal adjustment:

1. Refer to Fig. 12 for correct brake pedal measurement specifications.
2. Loosen locknut and adjust pedal free height by turning brake booster input rod. Tighten locknut.
3. Loosen locknut and adjust clearance "C1" and "C2" with stop lamp switch and ASCD switch respectively. Tighten locknuts.
4. Check pedal freeplay.
5. Ensure stop lamps operate properly when pedal is depressed.
6. Check pedal depressed height while engine is running.
7. If depressed height is below specifications, check brake system for leaks, accumulation of air or damage to components.
