Assembly

1. Install boot, slide joint housing and new boot clamps.
2. Install spider assembly securely, ensuring marks made during disassembly are properly aligned.
3. Press spider assembly serration chamfer facing shaft.
4. Apply suitable sealant to mating surface of plug seal.
5. When pressing plug seal into position, hold horizontal so spring inside does not tilt or fall down.
6. Move shaft in axial direction to ensure spring is installed properly. If shaft drags or if spring is not installed properly, remove plug seal and install a new spring.
7. Pack driveshaft with 6.52-6.88 ounces of suitable CV joint grease.
8. Ensure boot is properly installed on driveshaft groove. Set boot so it does not swell and deform when its length is 4.35-4.43 inches.
9. Lock new larger boot clamp securely with a suitable boot clamp tool, then the smaller clamp.
