SERVICE INFORMATION:


Some drivers may report driveability problems or reduced fuel economy after an oil change. Investigations have found that many dealers are using higher viscosity oil than is recommended for the ambient temperature range.

The use of high viscosity oil may cause:


1. Low rough idle for a few minutes after starting a cold engine, usually the first start in the morning.

2. Reduced fuel economy.


3. Rattle noise in the valve train or timing chain tensioner(s) and possibly mechanical damage.

Please use the PREFERRED OIL for each model unless a lower or higher ambient temperature range justifies the use of the alternative oil viscosity shown in the charts below.
